Teaching and Curricular Development

I have designed and taught courses on education policy, leadership, organization, qualitative methods, and comparative education across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. Prior to entering higher education, I spent more than seven years in K-12 education in South Korea as a teacher, teacher leader, and school consultant. I am also committed to curriculum development as a way to advance student learning.

Curriculum Development

Education, Culture, and Inquiry in South Korea
UNL Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program, Summer 2025

  • I designed and led this program in partnership with institutions across South Korea, drawing on my professional networks to build an experiential curriculum that engages students with globalization, comparative education, and cross-cultural inquiry (Watch this video from the trip).
  • I welcome conversations with colleagues designing study abroad curricula and am happy to share what I have learned. Feel free to contact me.

UNL CPED-Informed EdD Program
Curriculum Redesign Committee, 2021 to 2022

  • I contributed to the task force that redesigned UNL's EdD program in alignment with the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED), reshaping the curriculum to prepare equity-informed scholarly practitioners.
